Real Life Example
Name: Anita
Age: 37 years
"I had been ill for over a year with repeated chest
infections. My doctor prescribed different antibiotics and none seemed to
make much difference. I was totally worn out. I was so relieved when the
doctor diagnosed asthma. He explained that bad asthma can sometimes seem
like a chest infection as the symptoms can be very similar. I had seen a
program about asthma once and knew you could treat it very successfully.
I set about getting all the information I needed on asthma and the treatments.
I now take a daily preventer and my asthma is very well controlled. I feel
so well and can get on with my life!"
Comments
The world around us can have a huge influence on how we
think and feel about asthma. Fortunately for Anita she had seen a television
program on asthma with a positive approach! Her attitude was also positive
to the diagnosis. She set about to make sure she had all she needed to deal
with the problem. The time and effort she put in paid off: her health improved
dramatically so that she could get on with her life, unrestricted by her
asthma. |
